My new parakeets seem healthy, but do they really need a vet visit?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 23 days old | 1.3 lbs

hey i got my parakeets 3 weeks ago i just want to know how you think there doing. i think their doing fine, but my friend told me to go see a vet to just make sure. He said that's what he did in the beginning when he got his first pet, because he wanted to make sure it was fine. also i have 2 parakeets, i hope its okay with you to check them both. i tried to take multiple pictures. its not really that clear i hope you can see it. i couldn't do it inside the cage because they would get scared.

The cage set up appears to be appropriate for two parakeets. As suggested by your friend, it is always recommended to have any new pets examined by a veterinarian to confirm good health or to diagnose and treat any pre existing conditions.
