My new kitten has mucus discharge from one eye. Is it an emergency?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | 8 lbs

I recently found a kitten. It is malnourished and has a mucus discharge coming from its one eye. I’ve give it a bath in hopes of it’s eye being relieved but there has been no changes. It eats and drinks well and is very friendsly. Any idea what’s wrong with Squeak?

It sounds like Squeak could have an eye infection. The eye is such a delicate and important structure that any problem with it should be considered an emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. You need to take her into a vet immediately to have her eye examined and diagnosed so it can be treated as needed. I hope this helps!
