Why is my dachshund lethargic, vomiting, and having loose stools?

My dog is lethargic.. Wont eat.. He's has several small loose stools and has thrown up.. He looks tired in his eyes and is quivering.. He frequently returns to his "hiding" spot.. He has drank a small amount of water.. Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund miniature | Male | unneutered | 8 years and 8 months old | 8 lbs

Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I am so sorry that Ace is not feeling well. I would suspect that he has picked up a bit of an infection. The quivering could be a sign that he is running a fever. Being a dachshund, I would also be concerned that he has injured his back as we see a lot on Intervertebral Disc Disease in this breed. If you have the ability to have Ace evaluated by your veterinarian, a diagnosis can be made & he proper treatment started to get Ace feeling better as soon as possible. I hope all is well soon.
