Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 6 months and 29 days old | 55 lbs
Hi, My dog suddenly had a small tache on his mouth last night (outside of the mouth – near the nose). It looks a bit white – the colors is lighter than his brown skin. When I touch it, I feel that it’s kinda soft and doesn’t cause pain to the dog. I attached the picture for your ref. Just for your info that his nutrition these days is very normal and healthy. I think the tache is not so serious but would like to know if any early treatment needed. Thank you very much for your answer!

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Am is very cute! It's hard to say 100% from the pictures. The 2 possibilities are viral Papilloma, which is contagious and likes to be on the face but more so the mouth. Dogs get it from playing with other dogs at the park or from Doggie Daycare. Papillomas are white to grey and look warty. They tend to resolve with time. The other possibility is a benign histiocytoma. They are growths that appear on young dogs that spontaneously go away with in a few months. They tend to be pink and hairless, like a button. I hope this helps! For more clarification try to get a closer picture or have your Vet take a look! Good luck!
