Is it normal for my German Shepherd puppy to shiver while sleeping?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 8 days old | 4 lbs

My german shepherd puppy shivers whenever he close her eyes or sleeps. Canine distemper (Elisa) report result is negative. I am not sure what could be the reason of this. She is 40 days old and adopted it when she was 34 days.

Roxy looks like a very sweet, normal and healthy pup! I would not worry about the shivering--puppies can make strange noises and do odd behaviors right before sleeping and then as they wake up from a nap, and this is all part of normal behavior. As long as she eats and drinks well, and has no vomiting or diarrhea, then she's doing great!
