My German Pit mix puppy has developed what looks like a rash on her jowls, chin, and neck and upper front legs. It becomes very red and inflamed at times. What could it be?

Hello, sorry to hear about Minnie. It looks like she may be having either puppy pyoderma or puppy strangles. Other causes can include an infection with mites or even allergies. Minnie may need medications to control the redness and inflammation of the skin. Your veterinarian may need to obtain samples from her skin to rule out bacteria or parasites which could be causing this. Schedule an appointment with your veterinarian to have Minnie examined. Best of luck and hope she gets well soon.
