Hi my aunt's dog got in a fight. Hes a Jack Russell mix and he was the aggressor. The bigger dog also my aunt's held the little one by the head so the jack Russell couldn't bite him. In the process the jack Russell has a small puncture wound above the jaw. It doesn't look infected. A little clear fluid will come out if it's rubbed. But his jaw on that side is swollen. I rubed thoroughly and he showed no signs of any discomfort. So is it swollen from the trauma of the bite and fight? Or is infect

Poor guy! It probably is infected if fluid is coming out. Especially if the fluid starts to thicken or if the area becomes really puffy and swollen, he needs to be seen by a vet and put on antibiotics. Sometimes an abscess like this should be drained surgically under sedation to flush out the pus. You will know for sure if it’s infected if it starts to get bigger and seems red and painful. Hope that helps!
