My puppy ate prosciutto, vomited, and his heart is racing. Is he okay?

My dog is 10 weeks my daughter fed him little tiny tiny pieces of prosciutto is he gonna be okay because he threw up and it came out in the throw up and his heart seems to be racing a little

He should be fine. Prosciutto may have upset his tummy a little since he is not used to eating that. Vomiting may have caused him to be stressed and cause his heart rate to increase. I would continue to watch him carefully. If he is continuing to vomit, starts having diarrhea, lethargic or refusing to eat then I would have your vet take a look at him. I worry with him being so little that he could become dehydrated or hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) really quickly. Your vet will be able to determine if the vomiting is due to the meat or other possible causes like worms or a viral infection. Your vet will also be able to give him some medicine to help settle his tummy. Also, if he wont eat for you or hasn't eaten anything else this morning, I would give him a little Karo syrup or honey on his gums to ensure his blood sugar doesn't get too low. I hope this helps and he starts to feel better!
