My dog has watery diarrhea. What can I do to help him feel better?

My dog Sampson has had Diarrhea since Thursday. We started giving him rice and ground beef Friday night. Today he has had multiple very watery diarrhea stools. It's possible he ate something he shouldn't of but we we're wondering if he had a bad ear infection could this also be a side effect? What should I do for my dog? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 7 years and 4 months old | 120 lbs

This isn't related to the ear infection. withhold food for 12 hours then offer him boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if he is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put him back gradually on his normal food. If the diarrhea does not resolve, take him to the vet to get treatment.
