Monah keeps licking herself, I would like to think she’s just cleaning but she recently had a spa trip. She licks and leaves her fur wet. I’m not too sure what to think of it?

Hi, I'm sorry, I just realized that I mistakenly answered this for a cat and not a dog. I'm not sure how this happened, but my answer would actually be the same for a dog. It's most likely grooming behavior due to the recent spa treatment. If it doesn't stop within a day or two, then I would be concerned that she is itching. If that's the case, then I reccomend giving her a bath with just cool water, because it may be the grooming product that's causing the itching. If the licking continues after that, then it's best to take her to the vet, so they can identify the source of the itch before it gets worse. Again, sorry for the mix-up and I hope all is well with Monah.

This is rather normal for a cat that has recently gotten bathed. While the smell may be pleasing to us...to the cat it seems as if the hair has something on it and they try to groom it off. I would not worry about this too much right now. I think she will stop the over-grooming within a day or two. I hope that helps.
