Unfortunately no. It's illegal for the experts at Pet Coach to write a prescription for any medication without seeing the animal in person first. You will need to take Lola to the vet to get a prescription for Nexgard.

    Hi there. Legally, a veterinarian has to examine the pet in person and establish a VCPR (veterinarian-client-patient-relationship) in order to prescribe medication - so this is not something that can be done over the internet. You will need to take Daisy to a veterinarian in your area for an exam in order to get a prescription. As far as whether there is a charge to write the prescription, this would be very unusual in my experience - in most cases, the only cost should be the exam fee. If you're concerned about this, you can always call the clinic beforehand and ask.

You can find this product at any of the online veterinary pharmacies. In order to find the best value I would recommend going on goodrx.com. On this website you will be able to type in the medication and dose and it will provide you with coupon codes and the location of where you need to obtain the product. Regardless of what site you use you will still need to obtain a prescription from your veterinarian. I always caution my clients when they are planning to purchase these types of products from pharmacies of unknown origin as we cannot be certain how the drugs are being stored and what source they are obtaining the drugs from. Do your due diligence before deciding on which place to use. I have had relatively good experiences with Valley Vet Supply.

Unfortunately it is illegal for us to prescribe any medication from this site. It's also against the user terms of the site. You need to have Selena seen by a vet in person to get a prescription for Bravecto.

I know you need a perscription for Comfortis. Is there a way to obtain a perscription online without going to the vet. It is for my father's dog that is 80# and he cannot afford to go so I wanted to pay for it and surprise him.
No, there is no way to get one online. You have to see a vet in order to get this prescription. You can see if you can borrow your dad's dog for a walk, then take him into the vet to get the prescription. That way, you can still surprise him.

Hi and thanks for posting. An in person exam with a veterinarian or valid veterinary client patient relationship is needed in order to get any prescription. Unfortunately these can't be prescribed online for legal reasons. You can try the over the counter flea and tick preventatives but they do not always work very well. The one over the counter flea and tick medication that I would recommend over the others is Frontline Gold. I hope this helps!

Unfortunately we cannot provide any prescription through this website as legally we would need to physically assess your Oliver to be able to prescribe any medication. Unfortunately the only way to have an OTC flea treatment is to buy one at the local pet shop if a local vet is not available.

Hello we are due to update both of our dogs on flea and tick chews.
The easiest way to do so is to go to your veterinarian and either buy the chews from him or get a prescription from your vet and get them over the internet. I am assuming you are looking to buy either Bravecto, Simparica or Nexgard. These are prescription only.

You would need to see a veterinarian in person to establish a valid veterinary patient/client relationship for Lucy and to make sure she is healthy to start preventatives. You could make an appointment with a veterinarian near you, or you can also obtain this service (along with a heartworm test which would be required first) at Vetco vaccine clinics.

Hi and thanks for posting on Boop by Petco! The heartworm preventatives typically do require a prescription from your veterinarian which may require an exam initially if this is Annie's first time visiting her veterinarian. There are some over the counter flea preventatives such as Advantix and Advantage or Frontline. However, these may not work as well as prescription flea preventatives from a veterinarian. There are no over the counter heartworm preventatives- this does require a prescription with Annie's veterinarian. I hope this helps!

This will depend on the type of flea medication. Some of them are prescroption only , others can be bought over the internet or over the counter without a prescription. You can go to a pet shop and ask about which are OTC. Stay away from Hartz or PetArmour brands.

Hello, thank you for using Boop by Petco. I know this problem can be frustrating. Yes, you can buy Capstar (flea pill) over the counter. It works great but only kills on the fleas that are on the dogs and continues to work for only 24 hours. After that you will need to get them on a good flea prevention and use it EVERY month without fail. You can use Capstar every day for a few days until you get a prescription medication. There is a dog and a cat version of Capstar. ( https://www.chewy.com/capstar-flea-oral-treatment-dogs-over/dp/52938 ) All pets in the house must be treated for fleas EVERY MONTH, even cats, even if they don't go outside. Frontline is not a good choice any more. Seems many flea populations have gained resistance to it. If you want to get a good prescription flea medication and not have to pay an office visit I suggest you go to a VETCO vaccine clinic in your area. You do not have to get vaccines to see the vet and get the medication. The chewable flea tablet
