My dog chewed a toilet air freshener box. Is it dangerous for him?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | 1 year old | 51 lbs

My dog got to the box of toilet air fresheners ( attached a pic) , where you open the tablet and keep it in the box and hang it. I don't know if there was anything inside it. He chewed the box for around 30 secs . Nothing fell on the ground . I didn't find any bits .i gave him a biscuit and smelled his breath and didn't smell like freshener but only like biscuit . Should I be concerned? It's unlikely that it had the freshener inside but I'm a bit worried.

If toy do not believe there was anything in the box then I would monitor Casper for now. If you notice any symptoms such as lethargy, inappetance, vomiting or diarrhea, I would get him in to be examined by a veterinarian for further testing. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
