My puppy (female) was left alone with a male dog during her first heat.... We rushed and found her tied up with the male dog, maybe for 3 mintues... We separated her from him.... We read in an article that a dog is immature until the age of 15 months and a dog should not reproduce until it is mature... Is 3 minutes sufficient for a dog to become pregnant? Options for Nancy at this point include having her spayed now to terminate a possible pregnancy and prevent future pregnancies, waiting until about 42-45 days after the dogs tied to take her to the vet for x-rays (the pups' skeletons would be visible on x-ray at this point), or simply taking a "wait and see" approach.
