Dog on Sentinel has fleas. Can I add K9 Advantix for flea control?

70lb GSD got 1 sentinel tablet for heartworms (51-100lbs) on Oct. 2. Says that it "controls flea pop." Does this mean kills eggs or fleas? He has fleas. Has it just not kicked in yet?. Can I give spot on K9 advantix? Says "repels and kills fleas of all life stages" and kills ticks and mosquitos. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 70 lbs

Hello, sentinel has an IGR which essentially prevents immature fleas from becoming adult fleas. It does not kill adult fleas. You can still use an adulticide such as advantix spot on to kill the adult fleas. Hope this helps and best of luck.
