How do I stop my dog from escaping the yard and breaking fences?

My dog finds a way to always get out of our house. We’ve done so many modifications to our yard but it always seems like he finds a way out. He’s gone as far as breaking our wooden fence. I don’t want to keep him kenneled up all day but I’m running out of ideas at this point. Is there anything I can potential do for him to solve this issue ? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 8 months old | 50 lbs

I am sorry to hear about your dog! I would definitely consider getting him neutered, as being an intact male he is much more likely to try to escape the yard as he has a hormonal urge to do so. I would also consider getting an electric fencing system in addition to your normal fence to act as an extra deterrent for escape.
