My yorkie puppy vomited solid no blood for the first time. What can that mean?

Hello, sorry to hear about Penny. This could a simple upset stomach from eating too much, or too fast. Alternatively, this can be a dietary indiscretion from getting into something he should have like picking up something on the floor, or eating food from the table, or getting a new treat. I would continue to monitor him for ongoing vomiting, having a low appetite, or developing any diarrhea and have him evaluated by your veterinarian if he does develop any of this. Otherwise, he should be fine if he doesn't continue to vomit. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Unfortunately, vomiting like that can be from a large number of things. Upset stomach may cause vomiting, in which case a bland meal of boiled chicken and rice may help to settle it. Other issues such as an underlying illness, obstruction, disease, functional problems, etc can also cause vomiting. If Fifi is unable to keep anything down at all, is very lethargic, or is in distress, it is best to seek veterinary care ASAP as puppies can very quickly become dehydrated which requires medical care.
