Could NaturVet GrassSaver impact my dog's kidney health or blood work?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier | Male | neutered | 36 lbs

I have been giving our dog nature vet grass savers. First off are these safe? We recently had some blood work completed and everything looked good but the kidney levels where a little high. Would these have any impact on these results. We have been giving out soft coated wheaten terrier 4 small pills a day. Thanks for any thoughts on this.

I have had clients use NaturVet GrassSaver for years and never seen elevated kidneys values associated with it. I just reviewed the ingredients and don't have any concern about them, so I doubt that supplement is affecting Toby's kidney values. There are some kidney diseases that we see more commonly in Wheatens, so be sure to follow up with any additional testing that your vet recommends. I hope that was helpful!
