My dog has glaucoma. Why isn't her eye pressure improving with meds?

Pet's info: Dog | Cocker Spaniel | Female | spayed | 11 years and 4 months old | 27 lbs

My dog is 11 years old, was diagnosed with glaucoma in both eyes 8 days ago, she is medicated with ofloxacin, dorzolamide and latanoprost, the pressure on her eyes still high, she eats, walk, smell how long I need to wait for improvement?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Jersey!! I would expect if there was to be improvement from the medications she is on the pressures would decrease with in 5-7 days. If they are still high then I would get to a Veterinary ophthalmologist as soon as you can to try to save vision in the eyes. Sadly sometimes vision can not be saved, but hopefully they can make her eyes more comfortable by draining some of the fluid from the eye. If she was my dog I would see the specialist as soon as you can get an appointment! I hope this helps and I wish Jersey a speedy recovery!
