Cat poisoning: When and what to feed after activated charcoal?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 9 months old | 8 lbs

my cat has been diagnosed with chemical poisoning i took him to the vet and he gave him shoots and give me activated charcoal to give him .. when should i give my cat food? and what should i give him ?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Minouch! I am sorry you both are going though this! I would offer food 6 hours after the charcoal was given. I would feed him something soft, like canned food. But if he prefers dry then I would recommend giving him what he likes best. We don't like cats not eating for more than 3 days. Check in with your Vet if he isn't eating for 24 hours. I hope this helps and I wish Minouch a speedy recovery!
