Why is my dog's eye discolored, watery, or swollen? Should I worry?

I am sorry to hear about Jimmy. Unfortunately these photos are not very clear/are coming up pixelated so we cannot see the eye very clearly, but I can see that there is discoloration of the skin/fur around the eye. Excessive tears can cause a brown staining of the white fur around the eye. Redness/swelling can be a sign of infection or inflammatory reaction. We may be more helpful in answering your question if you can give us more of a description of what is going on with the eye or a higher quality image. Regardless, any issue with the eye that is causing tears and swelling/redness should be examined by a veterinarian as we will not be able to diagnose his problem without an in person exam, just give you a list of possible causes.
