Well, guinea pigs gestation period is about 65 days, and of course she has to have some contact with a male. In the past, I have been able to tell if they are pregnant by palpation. Also, if you gingerly placer your hands on either side of her belly you may be able to feel moving piglets. If she is an adult and has never had a litter please take her to see a veterinarian. Female guinea pigs can have a very tough tough me delivering if their pelvis has matured completely. Good luck to you and Rosey.

Gaining weight steadily, an enlarged abdomen, and eating and drinking more are all signs of pregnancy in guinea pigs. If Ginger is far enough along in her pregnancy, you can feel the babies in her uterus by very gently feeling her abdomen. You will be able to do this around two weeks before she is due to give birth. I will link a website below that have more detail about a guinea pig's pregnancy, including diet to feed her :-) http://kb.rspca.org.au/i-think-my-guinea-pig-might-be-pregnant-what-should-i-do_354.html

You are very welcome, thanks for all your questions. Unfortunately is not that easy to detect pregnancy in piggies at home especially because the number of the little ones is very variable. Usually increased weight, pear shaping of the body, drinking more water and eat more, and being less friendly could be common signs of it. Pregnancy lasts around 60 days. If pregnancy is confirmed, there are no specific recommendations a part from handling her less frequently especially if she does not like it/tolerate it. Hope this answer was helpful, but please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.
