Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 year and 1 month old | 4.5 lbs
My 1 year old cat stared crouching after walking a short distance. Then two days ago he lost the use of his back legs. He can stretch them out when laying down, But bunny hops around. He is eating wet food, but not actively drinking water. We've taken him to the vet he has no temperature and shows no sign of pain in one area. He has a glazed look in his eyes but is responsive. He has slightly red gums. I've had to hold him in the litter tray to urinate and he may be constipated

Sorry to see this. It appears that Neil has a lower spinal cord injury from what you are describing. This can happen from a traumatic injury or infection. It's important to find the cause of this, because they are treated differently. Hopefully the vet has offered x-rays and possibly blood tests to discover the cause. If you have not had any diagnostic tests done for Neil and he is not on at- least some sort of pain medication, then I would take him back to the vet for a recheck, or consider a second opinion. I hope that helps and Neil gets better soon.
