My new guinea pig hides all the time. How can I make her feel safe?

Got our piggy Bella about 2 weeks ago. She eats well and is drinking water. She is very social with humans and loves to cuddle and talk. She has a pretty big cage and I'm getting her a bigger one this week. She doesn't seem to play much though. She just kind of hides in her hidey house unless we pull her out. We play with her daily and let her run around. She usually just hides though. Suggestions?

I would recommend allowing Bella more time to get use to her surroundings. Guinea pigs can be very fearful and nervous. It is possible that Bella has not warmed up to the new house and it just staying in a place she is most comfortable. I would continue to play with her and give her good hiding places in her cage to allow her to feel comfortable. I hope that helps
