Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Female | spayed | 3 months and 21 days old | 20 lbs
I have a 4 month old pitbull puppy which I have had for 2 weeks. 3 weeks she has been scratching since she been here. I bathe her in a medicated shampoo but still on change. I also give her a half of benadryl. She is up to date on all of her shots. She also on a flea, and heartworm tablet. I have notice the coat of her hair has some strange Patten on it. I'm trying to do all I can to save money from taking her back to get. Please any advice would help.

Hi there. Has your veterinarian performed a skin scraping looking for mites yet? Many types of mites can be really difficult to find. I will occasionally still treat a dog for mites even if I can’t prove that they are there. That would be my recommendation moving forward. If she is really just 4 months old then skin allergies are much less likely, although not impossible I treat all of my itchy puppies like mites until proven otherwise. I hope this is helpful! Good luck to both of you!
