My 4lb dog ate 7 Loratadine pills. What are the risks, is it serious?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | 1 year and 3 months old | 4 lbs

Hi my dog ate about 7 pills of 10mg Loratidine. Im not sure of the time she ingested it, she somehow was able to get on top of my table. She's half chihuahua and bich-poo, weighs less than 4lbs. She ate her food and i dont see any symptoms except she barked a little too much than usual when i got in. It's 10pm no vet available until tomorrow, help!!

I'm so sorry that Moet is having this problem. We most commonly see some GI upset (vomiting or diarrhea) and/or sedation with overdoses of Loratidine, but we also have a form of Loratidine that also has a decongestant in it (pseudoephedrine) which is VERY toxic to dogs. If the pills contained anything other than loraditine, please try to get Moet veterinary care immediately. Good luck! I hope that was helpful.
