Why does my cat have hard scabby bumps on his neck and ears?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 12 lbs

My 8 yr old male back cat. has developed hard pimples and scabby bumps around his neck and ears. They don't seem to bother him. Is this serious?

Without seeing the bumps it is difficult to advise you what might be going on with Little Boy. Please repost your question with some pictures of the scabby bumps and where they are located, so that we can give you more specific information on what you can do to help Little Boy.

    What you describe could be caused by many things such as a skin infection, a fight with another cat, immune disorders, and even types of cancers. I would recommend that he be seen by a veterinarian soon. They help determine the problem and start a treatment plan. Take care and I hope he improves soon.
