Skin scabs are not specific signs, so it is not possible to say what has caused them without examining your dog. Problems like skin infection, parasites, ringworm, allergy and excessive scratching can all cause scabbing of the skin. Please, take Annie to your vet to find out what is the case of the skin problem and to get treatment for her.

Hello. I am sorry that Annie has issues with her skin. Small bumps and thinning hair can be due to a few different things, however the most likely would be a skin infection. It could also just be scabs from chronic scratching. Usually scratching like that will occur if she has an infection inside her ears, or possible parasites in her skin (mites) that would make her itchy in that region. I would recommend a visit to the vet. They will do a physical exam, and may want to take some samples or swabs of the area to see if there is an infection or mites. They should be able to get to the bottom of what is causing this and fix it. Good luck with Annie.
