How to stop my dog's rough play and biting? I want to be his leader.

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | 3 months and 21 days old | 26 lbs

My pet is living with my whole family. There are 3 male adults including me (and father and uncle ) Currently he is watching my Uncle as his "Owner" because my uncle feed him and spend a bit more time with him. I am often playing with him, which made him look me in the way of his "playing buddy" and he often go agressive on me. in a agressive playing way. He bit me and jump on me until i grab a toy to play with him. How can i change his way of looking me? I wanna be more of a "leader " to him

I recommend you take Nori to puppy obedience class and learn to work together. Also take him for walks or go into the yard to play fetch when he starts to get too wild or puppy biting. That will distract him and give him an appropriate way to interact with you without biting. As he ages the puppy play biting should improve, especially as he learns to leash walk, and obedience commands. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Nori.
