Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 3 years and 10 months old | 8 lbs

Hello, Ive had my dog almost a yr. she hasnt sneezed at all till about 3 weeks ago. I let her outside to go potty and when she comes in she is having a sneezing fit. Ever since then she is sneezing constantly. I dont see anything up her nose or in her mouth so i dont understand why she keeps sneezing. Sometimes she will sneeze like 4 times then stop. Doesnt sneeze in her sleep. What is going on with her all of a sudden?

Hello, sorry to hear about Dove. Some causes of sneezing can include allergies, especially if this happens after going outside. Most often this is self limiting and may resolve on its own. Other things you may be noticing is something called reverse sneezing syndrome. This is also most often self limiting and resolved on its owner with some time. However, I would recommend having Dove evaluated to ensure there is nothing stuck in her nose. She may also get medications to control any potential allergies. Monitor for any signs of nasal or ocular discharge in the meantime and notify your veterinarian if you note any. Hope this helps and best of luck!!
