My outdoor cat mohawk has been sneezing up stuff and her eyes are watery. She also has a raspy meow. Bringing her inside is not an option she is a barn cat

It could be that poor Mohawk is suffering from a respiratory infection. I would have her seen by a vet, as she may benefit from medications to help her symptoms. I can give you a few things to try at home to see if that helps. First, you can try starting her on an L-lysine supplement - this is an amino acid that has been shown to help the immune system fight off respiratory infections more effectively. Enisyl and Viralys are both good brands, and can be purchased over the counter without a prescription - just follow the dosing instructions on the label based on your cat's weight. If she's congested, you can also try using a humidifier with her in a room in the barn - the steam and humidity help to break up congestion and temporarily relieve symptoms associated with respiratory infections.
