Is my dog pregnant or sick ? I recently notice a sudden growth in my small dogs tummy and I was wondering if she's either see or pregnant? She hasn't had contact of any kind from the other sex of dog, but she did vomited last night , it's just a gotten slightly larger and hard on her tummy , she doesn't seem to be faxed by it though. This could be a growth, tumor, abscess, or other kind of swelling aside from pregnancy, but the only way to know for sure is to have her examined by a vet. He/she may want to take a sample from the swelling to look at cells under a microscope to give you an idea what the swelling actually is, and how to treat it. If she is pregnant, you can see puppies on xrays or ultrasound after a few weeks of pregnancy, and then you'll know for sure what's causing the swelling in her abdomen. Hope that helps!
