My cat hit her head. What symptoms should I watch for after a bump?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 4 months old | 8 lbs

So my cat about 40 minutes ago hit her head on the underside of our glass table. She did it while jumping for her toy, she was a tad rattled but after a couple of seconds wanted to play for over 10 minutes. She walks fine, both pupils are the same size and respond to light. She doesn't seen lethargic. I saw another vet recommended checking on them every hour for symptoms, is this a good plan and if it is, what should I be looking for

Cats have a pretty solid head, i'v seen my cats hit their heads many times while playing, always symptoms free right after. according to the history and lack of any symptoms i honestly don't think there is any reason to worry or to monitor her at this point, you have done more than enough so far :)
