Why is my cat hiding, not eating, and constantly licking her rear?

Lacey has eaten drank only small amounts within the last 3 days. She is hiding under my covered bedside table. Only comes out to go to litter box. I have noticed her licking her rear. She will come out at night to sleep with me. What could be wrong? Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | unspayed | 9 years and 8 months old | 5 lbs

It sounds like Lacey doesn't feel well. Cats can get infections of their anal sacs, which are around their rear end. If she is licking a lot then that is a possible cause. Of course many other problems could be going on as well. I would really recommend that she be seen by a veterinarian. They can determine in something is wrong with her rear end, and if so recommend a treatment plan. I hope she improves quickly! Thank you for using Pet Coach.
