My cat had eye surgery for a stick. Why is his other eye discharging?

Hi my cat dexter went for operation last week as he got a stick in his eye lucky didn’t lose his eye site went for check up as the stick went though his brain but the guy said it was the part a cat don’t use or something his on treatment I think Antibiotics they gave him the all clear but that last few days after the check up his had this wired stuff coming form the other eye as stick went though left eye and stuff coming from right eye please help! Pictures of cat eye also stick Help me!

I am not really sure exactly what your vet explained but I think it is very unlikely the stick actually went into the brain. Typically sticks like the one in the picture are not sharp and the brain is protected by a thick piece of bone. Most like the stick got stuck around the eye and went back pretty far. Also if there are brain damage Dexter would be having neurologic disease. I would recommend contacting your vet again to get a more detailed explanation of what occurred with the stick. It is possible that Dexter has an infection in the other eye not originally affected by the stick. The sinus cavity can affect both eyes and if an infection is present it can affect both eyes. Again I think calling your vet to discuss since they did the procedure is the best option. Hope that helps and Dexter makes a speedy recovery
