Are my 10-year-old beagle's eye tumors caused by ear infections?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Female | spayed | 9 years and 9 months old | 24.1 lbs

my BEAGLE had a tumor removed a few months ago UNDER her upper RIGHT eyelid. Now she has another one on her third RIGHT eyelid. She has chronic RIGHT EAR yeast infections. She is 10 years old. Her vet will remove this new tumor; however, he's not even sure what it is! Note: She does have redness and tearing-but she is not rubbing or pawing at her eye. QUESTION 1: Could her ear problem be the root cause of these tumors? QUESTION 2: Is there anything homeopathic that I can do? Thank you

1. No, I do not think there is any association between Abby's ear problem and her masses. I suspect that your vet will recommend sending the tumor to the lab for histopathology to determine what this new tumor is which may give you more information as to its source. 2. If you are going to try something homeopathic, you really need to utilize a vet trained in homeopathy. I would recommend using this website to find a vet in your area that can help you. http://theavh.org/referrals/ I hope that was helpful! Thanks for using PetCoach.
