I am so sorry that Duchess is so unwell. I believe it is time for fimurther investigation possibly incudking chest X-rays. The vet will hopefully be able to diagnose the cause of the mucus in Duchess's lungs and make a treatment plan accordingly. It is possible she has pneumonia, an infection, a parasite infestation, or even some cancers. In the meantime you might find she could benefit from coupage to help dislodge some of the mucus. It is a technique if patting the chest and here is how to do it; https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IENtJvc8sus This could be done a few times a day to help her while you wait for the vet appointment.
