My healthy adult dogs: What vaccinations do they need for boosters?

Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund miniature | Male | neutered | 2 years and 3 months old | 14 lbs

I have 2 Mini dachshund'- they are both 2yrs 4months old. They are both in excellent health. What vaccination do they need right now?

As long as your two dogs had their vaccines as a puppy all they need each year is a booster of the core vaccines. Core vaccines are considered vital to all pets based on risk of exposure, severity of disease or transmissibility to humans These are:. Canine parvovirus, distemper, canine hepatitis and rabies are considered core vaccines Non-core vaccines are given depending on your dog's exposure risk. These include vaccines against Bordetella bronchiseptica (kennel cough), Borrelia burgdorferi and Leptospira bacteria.
