My dog has a red, smaller eye and drinks too much. Are they linked?

Hi, JoJo's left eye has redness around it ( no discharge) but also seems to be smaller than his right. Should I be worried? He also wants and drinks excessively. Could this be related to one another? I'm sorry he doesn't like pictures and keeps closing his eyes when I try to capture the redness. Anyways, I appreciate any help you can give me. Kim. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 50 lbs

It is very hard to tell by picture if the eye is red. If she is acting normally then I would recommend giving an over the counter anti histamine to help with allergies. However if it is not improving or getting worse I would recommend taking him to a veterinarian for a close exam. Also increased drinking water can be behavioral or secondary to disease. I would recommend some basic bloodwork and urine sample to look for underlying disease. Hope that helps
