Is my Pomeranian's strange bark from a seizure or larynx issue?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Female | unspayed | 5 lbs

I aquired a 7 year old pomeranian a few months ago. The previous owners said she had a seizure when she was 2 and messed up her bark. They said she only ever had that one seizure. What i would like to know is if her bark is due to a messed up larynx and should this condition be worrisome to me?

Seizures don't usually cause a dog's bark to be abnormal so I am not sure exactly what happened. The best thing would be to have a vet to a physical examination to determine if there is anything to worry about. If she has been fine for the past 5 years then, more than likely, it will not cause a problem. She is very cute!
