My puppy loves chewing sticks. Is it safe for her to chew on branches?

Pet's info: Dog | Shiba Inu | Female | unspayed | 3 lbs

Our girl maltida passed away a couple of weeks ago,we will miss her dearly,now we have a 10 week old puppy shih tzu ginger b,she loves to pick up sticks and small branches,the question I have is it ok to let her pick them up and chew on them,I know dogs have been doing that for a long time.thanks.

I am sorry to hear about Matilda. For Ginger, in general it is ok for her to pick up sticks. As you mentioned so many dogs do this and are just fine. On a rare occasion a stick can get stuck in the dogs mouth and need immediate medical attention, but this is pretty rare. It would be safer for you to redirect ginger to appropriate puppy play and chew toys that are in your house while she is going thru this teething puppy phase
