My dog has bumps on her back, bites them, and is vomiting. Help!

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | spayed | 7 years old | 87 lbs

My dog has two bumps under her skin on her back. She is a German Shepherd, and is 7 years old. She barks a lot, and has been biting at one of the lumps located on her back. She has been puking a few times a week. She has anxiety, and has had Lyme disease before. Before we adopted her, she was moved from home to home.

I am sorry Brie is not feeling well. I would recommend taking her to a vet to have the lumps examined closer. A vet can place a small needle into the mass and look at the cells under a microscope to determine what the masses are. Masses can range from cyst, abscesses or even cancerous so they should always be checked out. Also since Brie is vomiting it would be best for her to have an exam and maybe even abdominal x-rays to determine why she is vomiting. IT is important to make sure the mass and vomiting are not connected. I hope brie feels better soon and thanks for using pet coach
