Dog yelping, tail tucked after yard time. Was he bitten or stung?

Dog went outside in fenced in yard. Came in yelping and whining with tail tucked down. Is now moving around better but still keeping tail tucked tightly. Could he have been bit or stung possibly? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 60 lbs

This is strange behavior. I would guess that, yes, Stryker was either bitten or stung by something, like an insect. The other thought I had was that he may have had an uncomfortable or painful bowel movement that startled him. Keep an eye on him this evening and make sure he doesn't have any unusual swellings. He should be just fine. But if he is acting abnormally tonight you may consider taking him to the vet in the morning. I hope this helps.
