My senior poodle with Addison's is losing weight. How to help?

13 yr old Standard Poodle with Addison's Disease since 7 yrs. On monthly DOCP and daily 5 mg Prednisone. Is losing 2-3 lbs per month. Eating well, but increased feeding to 3x/day. I cook ground turkey, lamb, chicken to give along with Wellness canned stew meat. Is it possible to increase her weight, if so, how? Pet's info: Dog | Poodle | Female | spayed | 13 years and 2 months old | 48 lbs

If Maggie has been well controlled for that long then I suspect something other than the Addison's is causing the weight loss. I would recommend an examination by your veterinarian. They will likely recommend blood work and possibly x-rays depending on what is revealed or found during the physical exam. I hope this gives you a place to start. I hope Maggie improves soon.
