My cat has a recurring neck cyst. What are the best treatment options?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 10 years and 7 months old | 12 lbs

My cat has a cyst on his neck that is increasing in size, the vet has drained it a couple of times and he is due to visit again in a few days, what are the treatment options available please for this condition.

If the cyst keeps refilling the only real option to treat and totally get rid of the issue is to have the cyst surgically removed. At Pav's next veterinary visit if would be a good idea to discuss surgical removal of the cyst. Your veterinarian can let you know if Pav is a good candidate for surgery.     If you are concerned that Sidney's cyst is more than it seems I would talk to your vet about having it surgically removed. Typically cysts are benign (non-cancerous) and just need to be occasionally drained. However sometime they can bother the cat (and the owner) enough that they need to be removed. If you do decide to have it surgically removed I would recommend having the whole thing sent out for biopsy. This way you can know for sure if it is something you need to be concerned about.
