Why is my pitbull mix suddenly aggressive after having puppies?

My pitbull mix recently had puppies and I kept one little girl and sold the rest. She's always been nervous and anxious around new people (I believe due to how a past owner may have treated her). Her nervousness usually translates into minor aggression that will usually stop once the pet her and give her a belly rub. However recently she's become much more aggressive and even bitten a couple of friends. Could this have something to do,with her puppy being around now? Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 40 lbs

Yes, she might be more protecive since her puppy is around. You can try an Adaptil collar and Solliquin chews and see if that helps with any stress/anxiety. You could also take her to a trainer or behaviorist but if she is biting your friends then you may need to confine her when friends come over.
