My rescue cat has gray, wart-like spots on his skin. What are they?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 13 days old

He has some gray spots on his skin, looking almost like a wart. I found him with his brother in the streets and after a bath the gray spots still there so I doubt they are dirt.

Grey spots can be a number of things. Fleas, ticks, signs of skin infections, but it is also possible that they are just pigmented areas of the skin. If you are concerned then I would recommend that you have him examined by a veterinarian. Thanks for using Pet Coach.
