My dog has a small, hard, non-movable lump on his leg. What is it?

Poor Hunter! There are a couple of things this could be. It could be part of his normal anatomy, and you never noticed it before. It could also be that he injured the bone of his leg at some point, and this lump is a result of the healing of the bone. Finally, it could be possible, but not as likely given his age, that it is a malignant tumor. Hard and not movable are two characteristics of malignant tumors. Without seeing him in person, I can't say for certain what it causing this lump so having him see a vet would be best. The vet can diagnose what is causing the lump and if any treatment is needed.
