My new puppy has ringworm. Will I get infected if I touch him?

We are rescuing a 8 week old lab puppy that has ringworm. If we let him at all will we get it? Can we not touch him without being infected. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 2 months old | 6 lbs

Great question! Ringworm is highly contagious. I would recommend using gloves when handling him and washing your hands well after. I would also recommend long sleeves and washing your clothes after handling him. With good hygiene you should be ok but I would take all precautions.
