When can I bathe and trim my 8-week-old kitten's nails safely?

Ginger is 8 weeks old should I bathe her and trim her nails?

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. If a kitten is at least 8 weeks of age, you can begin bathing it. I see Ginger is 8 weeks old so that she would be old enough to start getting bathed. I would not use any human grade shampoos and conditioners though. I would use a veterinary shampoo only for use in animals. You shouldn't nees to bathe Ginger often though and even now, unless she is very dirty, I wouldn't worry too much about getting her bathed.     You can also trim her nails at any tine. Just take care not to cut back too far as you may cut into the quick of the nail causing it to blees. If you are unsure of where to cut on the nail, have you veterinarian or veterinarian's technician show you.
