Female dog, 3 years old, had pups 10 weeks ago. Skin is deep purple, hair loss, especially undercoat and has a weird smell. Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 11 months old | 45 lbs

It is normal for the hair coat to thin out and then appear bald in places after the puppies are weaned. The change in color and odor can be a sign of an infection though. You can try a medicated bath until you can get her to the vet to check for an infection
